A new chapter – and a welcome home to Kettering for our new rector

We are delighted to share the wonderful news that The Revd Paula York has been offered and has accepted the appointment as Rector of Kettering St Peter & St Paul with St Michael & All Angels, and Priest-in-Charge of All Saints Kettering.

Paula is currently Vicar of Wellingborough All Hallows & All Saints and, subject to the usual Church of England legal and administrative procedures, will soon begin this exciting new chapter of ministry with us.

But for us, this appointment carries an extra special significance – because we aren’t simply welcoming Paula to our churches, we are welcoming her back home.

Paula has a history and connection with our churches, and it will be particularly special to see her return – this time to lead and serve the church community that has already been part of her own story.

There is something wonderfully fitting about coming full circle, and we very much look forward to seeing the next chapter of Paula’s ministry unfold here amongst familiar surroundings, familiar faces and, of course, many new ones too.

After a period of vacancy, this is a significant and joyful moment in the life of our churches.

We give thanks to everyone who has worked, prayed and supported our parishes throughout this time, particularly those involved in the appointment process.

Please keep Paula in your prayers as she completes her ministry in Wellingborough, prepares for the transition and looks ahead to returning to Kettering.
