Wednesday, 24 October – Talk by Richard Coles:

7.00pm – Richard Coles will be presenting a talk at Ss Peter & Paul.  Now Vicar of Finedon, Richard was formerly the multi-instrumentalist who partnered Jimmy Somerville in the 1980s band, “The Communards,” which achieved three Top 10 hits, including the number one and best-selling single of 1986, “Don’t Leave Me this Way.” He appears frequently on radio and TV, in March 2011 becoming the regular host of BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live. He also took part in “Strictly Come Dancing” in 2017!

Saturday, 3 November:  Our new bell will be on display in Ss Peter & Paul. Inscribed on the body of the bell will be the words, “A bell cast in memory of the fallen of Kettering 1914-1918, and around the bell’s rim will be the words, “In commemoration of the Centenary of the Armistice, November 11th 2018.  300 men from Kettering lost their lives during World War 1, including three of the church’s bellringers.
There will be an Open Tower from 1pm – 4pm and all are welcome to climb up the stairs to view the belfry. Refreshments will be available in the Parish Hall.

Sunday, 4 November: The new bell will be blessed by the Bishop of Brixworth during our 10.30am service, and will be rung for the first time, half muffled, on the morning of Sunday, 11 November.

Monday, 5 November: All Souls-tide Services of Commemoration:
12.15 pm: Eucharist with Hymns and 7.30 pm: Sung Eucharist (with choir)

Both services will take place at Ss Peter & Paul

Saturday, 17 November: Concert by the Kettering Camerata Choir. More details to follow.
